Poll Watching for the General Election
Poll Watching is the final piece of a comprehensive GOTV Program for the Democratic Party of Hawai‘i (DPH).
Poll Watching serves two purposes:
- Ensure our fellow Democrats get to the polls and are encouraged to vote for Democrats.
- Ensure that ALL voters get to cast their vote. They are basically the DPH’s eyes and ears at the polling locations.
To be a poll watcher for the DPH the volunteer needs to registered voter (state requirement) & a member of the DPH (Party requirement).
To be a phone banker you just need to a member of the DPH (Party requirement).
To make it easier for DPH members to volunteer they have created 2 different on-line Google forms:
Poll Watchers Application: https://goo.gl/forms/fovRlNbzABpVCII33
Phone Bankers Volunteer Form: https://goo.gl/forms/L8nS75ubgtEQlffx1
Poll Watchers or staffing DPH HQ and county call-in centers do not need to volunteer all day – a couple of hours during the day Poll Watchers (off-peak voting time in the morning) and Phone Bankers (anytime during the day) will make huge difference.
